The U.S. Association of Blind Athletes announced the roster for the U.S. Paralympic Men°®¶¹app™s Goalball Team set to compete in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

The men°®¶¹app™s national team currently trains at the Goalball Center of Excellence at Turnstone Center, one of nine Olympic and Paralympic Training Sites. The six athletes selected to represent are Tre°®¶¹app™Shaun Faison (Orange Park, Florida), Christian King (Virginia Beach, Virginia), Tyler Merren (Greenville, Michigan), Matt Simpson (Smyrna, Georgia), Calahan Young (Pittsburgh) and Zion Walker (Winchester, Virginia). Zach Buhler of Huntington and Jordan Main (Austin, Texas) were been named alternates.

Merren and Simpson return to the team from their silver-medal-winning men°®¶¹app™s squad in Rio 2016. For Merren, Paris will mark his fifth Paralympic Games. He also won a bronze medal at the Athens 2004 Games and was a Beijing 2008 Paralympic Team member. Simpson and Young were part of the Tokyo 2020 team. Faison, King, and Walker will be making their Paralympic Games debut in Paris.

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will take place from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8, and feature over 4,400 athletes from around the world competing in 22 sports.
