Komets home opener

Alex Swetlikoff was assigned to Fort Wayne by the American Hockey League°®¶¹app™s Bakersfield Condors on Monday. Swetlikoff, who has two goals and six points in two games with the Komets this season, scored one goal in 11 games with the Condors.

The Komets°®¶¹app™ offense got a major boost Monday with the additions of Alex Swetlikoff and Zach White.

Swetlikoff, 23, was assigned to Fort Wayne by the American Hockey League°®¶¹app™s Bakersfield Condors. Swetlikoff, who has two goals and six points in two games with the Komets this season, scored one goal in 11 games with the Condors.

White, 29, was acquired from the ECHL°®¶¹app™s Greenville Swamp Rabbits for future considerations. While White was scoreless in six games this season, he has 50 goals and 113 points in 184 ECHL games with Greenville, the Worcester Railers and Iowa Heartlanders.

The Komets had been short-handed as they began preparing for Friday°®¶¹app™s game against the Bloomington Bison in Bloomington, Illinois. Leading-scorer Odeen Tufto is injured, Ethan Keppen and Connor Corcoran were called to the AHL last Saturday, and Jack Gorniak must serve a one-game ECHL suspension for slew-footing in Saturday°®¶¹app™s 3-2 loss to the Kalamazoo Wings at Memorial Coliseum.

Tufto, who has a lower-body injury, might be ready to play by Friday. There°®¶¹app™s been no indication when Keppen or Corcoran might return.
