Wayne linebacker Kimar Nelson announced his commitment to Purdue shortly after the Boilermakers offered him a scholarship. The three-star recruit is the 44th-ranked player in Indiana in the 2025 recruiting class, according to 247 Sports.

"I am excited about the opportunity that lies ahead," Nelson wrote on social media. "I am eager to get to work, develop my skills, and grow both as an athlete and as an individual."

Nelson stands 6-foot-2, weighs 220 pounds and is coming off a season with the Generals in which he had 94 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and 14 1/2 sacks in nine regular-season games. He is the 11th commitment in Purdue's class, which ranks 85th nationally.
