Open-road tolling has begun for westbound drivers entering the Ohio Turnpike from Pennsylvania, Ohio's turnpike and infrastructure commission said today.
Under the new procedure, E-ZPass customers stay to the left and keep on driving at highway speed, the commission said in a statement. It said cash and credit-card customers drive to the right, stop and pay a round-trip, flat-rate toll to avoid additional fees.
Drivers headed east through the plaza, at milepost 239 in Mahoning County, no longer pay a toll.
