After 25 years in business, Cebolla°®¶¹apps Mexican Grill announced that it will be closing its Fernhill Avenue location.
The restaurant will serve its final meals Sept. 28.
In a social media message to their customers, the Cebollas team cited the expiration of their lease as the reason for the closure.
°®¶¹appWe°®¶¹appd like to personally thank this area of Fort Wayne for dining with us for so many years and being the space where it all started,°®¶¹app they wrote in the post.
They shared that during their years serving customers that they°®¶¹appve °®¶¹appwitnessed baby customers turn into adults with babies of their own.°®¶¹app
The restaurant°®¶¹apps other locations °®¶¹app 602 E. Dupont Road and 5930 W. Jefferson Blvd. °®¶¹app will remain open.
In addition, Cebolla°®¶¹apps operates Don Chava°®¶¹apps Mexican Grill and Acapulco Mexican Grill.
Utopian certification
°®¶¹app roaster Utopian Coffee has earned a prestigious certification for two of its popular blends, as well as select single-origin coffees.
Utopian is among the first roasters in the Midwest to receive this certification. Established by the Regenerative Organic Alliance, the Regenerative Organic Certification goes beyond traditional organic farming practices. It encompasses stringent standards for soil health, land management, animal welfare and fair treatment of farmers and workers.

Utopian roasts that received the certification are Union, a medium roast with notes of caramel sauce, buttered pastry and pistachio; and Obsidian, a bold coffee with notes of pipe tobacco, praline and toasted hazelnut.
Uniq BBQ reopens
Uniq BBQ & Shabu has reopened with an expanded menu and under new ownership.
The restaurant, 6045 Stellhorn Road, is under the management of Haru Sushi Izakaya and is promising an enhanced dining experience with an expanded menu and updated business hours.
Korean barbecue is a hands-on dining experience with built°®¶¹appin grills at each table. Guests can cook a variety of meats and vegetables right at the table, while enjoying an array of traditional side dishes known as banchan.
Shabu°®¶¹appshabu is a Japanese hot pot dish where thinly sliced meat and vegetables are cooked in a pot of boiling water or broth at the table. Once cooked, guests can dip the food in a variety of sauces, such as yuzu, fried garlic and Korean spicy.
Guests can choose all-you-can-eat barbecue or shabu, which is $25.99 for adults, $12.99 for children ages 7 to 10 and $9.99 for children ages 4 to 7. There is a 90-minute time limit and food cannot be taken to go.
In addition to the Korean barbecue and shabu-shabu offerings, UNIQ will also serve appetizers such as sweet potato tempura and furikake fries.
The restaurant°®¶¹apps new hours are noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, noon to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Ramen eatery open
A new ramen restaurant has opened on the city°®¶¹apps north side.
Ichiddo Ramen, 5608 Coldwater Road, has taken over the space formerly occupied by DeBrand Fine Chocolate
The menu at Ichiddo Ramen features a range of traditional ramen dishes, from classic tonkotsu to miso and shoyu variants. In addition to ramen, the restaurant also offers a selection of Japanese appetizers and side dishes to complement the main courses.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

°®¶¹app¢ Fort Wayne residents, dust off your lederhosen and polish your steins! From noon to midnight Saturday, the German Heritage Society and Deer Park Irish Pub are hosting Oktoberfest. The event at the 1530 Leesburg Road pub will feature exclusive German lager recipes from five local 46808 breweries. In addition, there will be live music, door prizes and a pretzel tossing contest.
°®¶¹app¢ GK Cafe and Provisions has announced new operating hours. It will now be open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. While the kitchen will remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, the provisions area will continue to serve patrons. As a special treat, discounted bake sales featuring leftover items will be held on these days.
