The TinCaps saw a 1-0 lead fade in the middle innings on a cool night as South Bend won 5-2 Saturday before a sellout crowd of 8,401 at Parkview Field.

Parkview Field has now seen 19 sellouts this season, the ballpark's most since 2017.

The CubsĀ (26-39 second half, 53-78) scored two in the fifth and three in the sixth to get their third win in the series.

Jose Luis Reyes (2-2) took the loss after giving up two runs on five hits in five innings. Reliever Eric Yost worked the final four innings and gave up three runs on five hits.

Fort Wayne (25-40, 53-78) had only three hits with Rosman Verdugo and Ethan Salas driving in the runs.

The season winds up at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at Parkview Field. The TinCaps' probable starter is right-hander Isaiah Lowe (No. 8 Padres prospect) while the Cubs' probable starter is righty Erian Rodriguez.
